This book is mainly introducing advances in future technology. In this case, cloning humans. Matt Alacran (the clone) was harvested from a cow and was created for providing "spare parts" for El Patron. As Matt continues to discover the purpose of his existence, he discovers his "inherited" personality from El Patron. After eavesdropping on a mysterious conversation, Matt learns more about the hidden personality of each house member of the "Opium state house."
The author seems to make you want to read more by stopping each chapter in the middle of a big event. The book is a series of seemingly endless mysteries leading to a sudden conclusion. Overall, I recommend this book to those who are interested in future possible accomplishments, and in cloning.

The book mainly talks about the altering of humans to zombies or phone crazies due to the ironic reason of cell phones. Led by the mysterious clue of:"Kaswak=No-Fo," a clue having some kind of connection to the northern country of Kaswak. The clue could have been an earlier trap set up by the Raggedy Man, the main culprit behind the Pulse, or the converting of humans to zombies. Led by Clayton Ridell, the survivors find a way to escape the devastating fate of armageddon and to stop the Raggedy Man from installing the latest software to increase the intelligence of the phone crazies.
The author sticks to one story and trys to go into more detail when it comes to the characters. All the descriptions about the setting are usually left out or explained in a few words. I would recommend this book to all interested in horror books and a fan for Stephen King

At Solferino Josh meets a lot of other kids that are abandoned by their parents, at the planet they were supposed to find plant life for a big corporation that invested in food in other planets. But from searching for life it turns to a battle to save the planet from corrupt greed for power and the corporation destroying all the native animals here and destroying that planet.
